If you are looking for a place to have a quiet dinner, unperturbed,  I would recommend Temiras in Westlands. I happened to give the place a try a few weeks ago. They have the best food and service. It is an undiscovered place in General Mathenge Drive. My friend and I were having a discussion the other day about how there are many uncharted and unexplored restaurants in Kenya. We decided to try small and undiscovered restaurants and cafes that no one talks about. temiraz 1 The restaurant had such a homely feel. Save for a large signboard outside that read “TEMIRAS” I could have sworn that we were in someones driveway. I can’t remember the last time I had a candle-lit dinner. (I’m that Old-school). There was mellow music in the background and there was a log fire nearby. It was at the beginning of November when the rain was erratic and unforgiving. It was also windy outside and so, the fire was very welcome. temiras The food was delicious. I love meat and after the starter, I ordered a Rustic Steak and mashed potatoes with vegetables on the side. My crony asked for Chicken Milano with some roast potatoes. Unfortunately, my camera acted up so I couldn’t take photos of the delicious food. You will have to go and see for yourself. 🙂 Like them on Facebook.
