After a disappointing Thursday, I was looking forward to Friday with my friends. If there is something that I have learnt is that time is moving fast and we are not getting any younger. In a bid to treasure moments and to celebrate Jamuhuri Day, we got together with my friends. Celebrating any Kenyan holiday calls for beers and Nyama Choma. However, the most important thing is the gift of life, health & friendship.
Jamhuri Day is a national holiday in Kenya, celebrated on 12th December each year.Jamhuri is the Swahili word for “republic” and the holiday is meant to officially mark the date of Kenya’s establishment as a republic which happened on 12th December 1964.-source Wikipedia.com
Apart from the food & Drink, I’m glad we had a camera to capture the smiles.
“Dance. Smile. Giggle. Marvel. TRUST. HOPE. LOVE. WISH. BELIEVE. Most of all, enjoy every moment of the journey, and appreciate where you are at this moment instead of always focusing on how far you have to go.”
