LONDON COCKTAIL WEEK IS ALL THE RAGE

OMG! I almost forgot about London Cocktail week given how much I had talked about it in this press release. We also had our Nairobi Cocktail week that you can read about in this and this post.

Each year London Cocktail Week sees scores of bars offer drinkers wearing a special LCW wristband £4 cocktails.This seven-day celebration is your chance to sample the finest boozy concoctions in town. I love the concept. For you to sample the cocktails all you had to do was buy a wristband for ten dollars. How cool is that. People would get the wrstbands in the hubs which were a hive of activity all week . guests would drop in for tastings and masterclasses from the experts. People would also get to interact with the London Cocktail Week Team. Catch all the action here.

The Golden Draque

This year, the Fifth Floor Bar Team have created something really rather special. Part pineapple Mojito, part Carajillo, this unique and intriguing concoction is a surprisingly exquisite cocktail.

Ingredients
25ml roasted pineapple and coffee bean purée
25ml freshly squeezed lime juice
8 mint leaves
15ml gomme syrup
50ml El Dorado 5 year old rum
20ml soda water

Garnish

Mint

Method

Muddle the mint with the sugar and lime juice, add the purée and rum and crushed ice.

Stir together and top up with soda water.
